How long will it take you to complete my project?
Project timelines vary depending on the size and scope of the project. Once you’ve provided your project details, you will receive a quote that includes a timeline. For most projects, expect one week from quote acceptance to project completion. Please inquire about expedited services if you need a faster turnaround.
My quote has a timeline of X business days. What does that mean?
Business days are Monday through Friday as long as those days are not designated as a holiday. Scribizzy recognizes the following holidays (these are non-business days):
- New Year’s Day – January 1
- Presidents’ Day – Third Monday in February
- Memorial Day – Last Monday in May
- Independence Day (U.S.) – July 4th
- Labor Day – First Monday in September
- Veterans’ Day – November 11
- Thanksgiving Day and Friday following – Fourth Thursday of November and the following day
- Christmas Eve through Christmas Day – December 24-25
Are you willing to work as part of a team?
Yes, Scribizzy would be happy to work as part of a team. In fact, we’d enjoy that very much!
What is your confidentiality or privacy policy?
We do not share or distribute any information about our clients. Scribizzy reserves the right to publish its list of clients as a means to demonstrate experience and expertise. However, we do not include any contact information or project details in our client list. If any of our clients do not want to be included on our published client list, they may send a request in writing, via email, and we will remove the listing.
Are you available for in-person meetings?
All of Scribizzy’s business is conducted online or over the phone. However, please feel free to inquire if you are interested in requesting an in-person meeting. While this is not our standard practice, we will certainly consider it.
Can we talk about my project on the phone?
Yes, we can. However, these calls will be billed as consultations. Phone consultations are available in 15-minute increments. Such calls will need to be approved and scheduled in advance.
Why do you charge for phone calls?
Originally, phone calls and consultations were included with all service offerings. However, the cost in terms of time and phone charges rendered these calls an expense. Only a small handful of clients wanted to have a phone consultation but the costs for these calls were being applied to and spread across all services. The best solution was to charge for calls as a separate line item since they are relatively rare. Once your project is underway, phone consults may be included as part of the services rendered, at no extra charge — for example, we may need to have a live conversation to iron out details of your project. Consultations incur charges for first-time clients with whom we haven’t worked and with whom we haven’t established any work agreement. These charges are also applied to advice and education consultations.
What if I am not satisfied with your work?
You will be. Scribizzy asks that all first time clients read three to five samples from the Scribizzy portfolio before accepting a quote or signing a work agreement. If you like Scribizzy’s portfolio work, than you will be pleased with the work we do for you as well.
How does payment work? In fact, how does the whole process work?
First, you provide us with some basic contact information and a project description. Then, Scribizzy will send you a quote (work agreement), usually within one business day.
Your project will begin as soon as you have accepted the quote. To accept the quote, you’ll need to issue a deposit via PayPal. In some cases, a check may be acceptable. However, your project cannot start until the check is received, deposited, and cleared, so paying by check may cause considerable delays to your project.
Once your project is completed, your final balance will be due within two weeks. Revisions, if requested, will take place after final project completion and do not affect the final payment due date.
Who owns the material if I’ve paid you to write it?
Ownership of the material transfers to the client when final payment is received. If the final payment does not clear or is revoked, then ownership remains with or transfers back to Scribizzy.
I just requested a quote through your website. How long will it take for you to get back to me?
You will usually hear back from us within one business day.
What should I do if I have more questions?
Please contact us with any questions you have. We’ll usually get back to you within 24 hours, and there’s a good chance we’ll add your question (and our answer) to this page!
